Royal Grammar School Guildford in Qatar is devoted to ensuring the safety and well-being of its students and expects all employees and volunteers to share this commitment. We have established clear, consistent protocols to assist students, families, and employees at the school.
At Royal Grammar School Guildford Qatar, we define safeguarding as minimising danger to students, staff, and the school, while fostering a joyful and safe atmosphere in which all children can grow and prosper. We are devoted to protecting the privacy of our kids, faculty, and school name. Children have a right to safety, adults have a responsibility to safeguard and protect children, and abuse is harmful and can impact a child’s entire life.
The issue of safeguarding is inextricably linked to our educators’ values and beliefs, and it is ingrained in our culture. Safeguarding comprises all facets of creating a safe school environment and the general well-being of students, from behaviour management to anti-bullying and digital safety to child protection.
All those who come into direct contact with children must ensure that they:
- are capable of identifying safeguarding and child protection concerns;
- understand the proper procedure for escalating those concerns;
- are advised to adopt an attitude of ‘it could happen here when it comes to safeguarding (rather than ‘it could not happen here);
- are expected to always act in the best interests of the child/young person/staff member when concerned about the mental or physical welfare of the child/young person/staff member.
