Qatar National Day Celebrations at RGS Qatar

In the run-up to Qatar National Day on December 18, RGS Qatar celebrated our love for our homeland through a variety of special activities, including assemblies, class events, and art murals. Our students were given numerous opportunities to learn about Qatari culture.

Mr Rolt’s online Qatar National Day assembly was a fantastic celebration of Qatari culture and traditions, and the children all performed their roles with poise and dignity. It was inspiring to see so many of our school’s students dressed in Qatar’s national colours. Our Qatari students were ecstatic to express their love for their homeland.

We would like to express our gratitude to our wonderful school community, our talented students, and the Arabic Department staff for assisting us in making the celebrations such a huge success.

Over QR 25,000 raised by RGS Qatar for Education Above All

Our mission at RGS Qatar is to ensure that our pupils develop into lifelong learners. We are extremely proud to have raised nearly 15,000 QR to Education Above All.

Our pupils have done an outstanding job reading at home and raising money for disenfranchised children in Qatar as part of Education Above All’s “The Together Program.”

Reading is necessary for success and the development of a life-long passion for learning. We encourage our pupils to read throughout the year, and they were all moved when informed that their reading would assist other children in attending school.

Serving our community is exactly what it means to be an RGS Guildfordian.
