This week has been Health Week at the RGS! It has been a fantastic week which has helped our pupils understand the importance of a healthy balanced diet and regular exercise. It has also been lots of fun!
Each morning started with Morning Exercise in the atrium which was a great way to start the day, and throughout the week there were a wide range of activities for pupils to get involved in. On Soccer Sunday pupils came to school wearing a football shirt and enjoyed football sessions with Future Football Academy.
Movement Monday was particularly active as Miss Wheeler led Dance classes, Miss Morris taught yoga, and pupils brought bikes, scooters and skateboards into school to use on the playground.
Tasty Tuesday was all about eating a healthy balanced diet. Mr McCullagh ran workshops with pupils about healthy eating and each class made some delicious healthy snacks to share. On Wednesday we welcomed the Hamad Ambulance service to school to work with our pupils, and Nurse Odessa visited each class to talk about keeping well and looking after our bodies.
